    Bald Bouncer
We’ve heard so much about how powerful the Xbox One X is- but ultimately, the best demonstration of that is seeing it in action for ourselves, and understanding how it is working behind the scenes, if we cant. Most gamers can’t, of course- but the fine folks at Digital Foundry can, and they posted a lengthy video explaining how games perform on the Xbox One X versus the existing Xbox One S.

  • Crackdown 3 seems to be an average (or possibly below average) looking game
    Bald Bouncer
It’s going to feel a bit comfortable for many Crackdown veterans excited to get back into the improved world that is Crackdown 3. With its artistic style, insanely fun weapons and explosions, and fun characters, this is definitely a game for those who’ve been wanting leave the critically panned Crackdown 2 in the shadows, and remember the glory days of the original Crackdown. But don’t get too ahead of yourself, this E3 had the gameplay set on the story mode. So all of that massive city destruction...

Developers 343 Industries, however, have assured fans that while we didn’t hear of where the franchise is headed in the future, we will soon enough, and that the team is working hard on whatever is next.

  • ‘We Have Something For Everyone,’ Says ID@Xbox Boss

Xbox has made massive strides in providing a supportive environment for independent game developers - while it blazed the trail in this area with the Xbox 360, it had begun to fall behind by the end of the generation, especially as rival Sony and even Nintendo caught up. With the introduction of the Xbox One, it seemed as though Microsoft was hell bent on burning bridges with a community it had once fostered.

That was then- things have improved massively since then, and Xbox...

Microsoft has announced three new games being added to its list of Xbox 360 backward compatible games running on Xbox One. They’re three AAA Xbox 360 games, and while they’re not ever going to be topping any lists, they’re all reasonably cool games that more people should play and try out.

Over on the Xbox One, the two headlining titles include Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 2, and Crytek’s Ryse: Son of Rome. While the latter particularly was panned upon release, it is the kind of game...

  • Xbox Scorpio Will Be Marketed With 4K As A Key Pillar, Says Analyst

  • ‘We Are Incredibly Committed To Xbox Play Anywhere,’ Says Xbox Head Phil Spencer

There are some who would argue that Microsoft’s strategy of putting all of their games on PC via Xbox Play Anywhere is counter productive, that it reduces incentives to actually invest in their hardware. Still others think that this is just another pet project for Microsoft doomed to be abandoned soon, and fade into irrelevance- not unlike Kinect, or Games for Windows Live....
