Rayman Legends will be supporting touch screen controls in portable mode, Ubisoft revealed on the game’s official website [via Nintendo Life], laying to rest the speculation that many believed (including yours truly) that the touch screen on the Switch would be used more for UI and navigation than for games.
According to the website, players can expect to use the touch screen to take out enemies, manipulate platforms, cut ropes to clear a path and much more.” The touch screen...
Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed something that the rest of us all already basically knew- that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the last game Nintendo releases for the Wii U. After this, no more Nintendo games will be launching on the platform.
“From a first-party standpoint, there’s no new development coming after the launch of the legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” Fils-Aime said to Polygon in an interview. “We really are at the end of life for...Yesterday, 05:59 PM
UK retailer GAME has been on somewhat of a streak when it comes to leaks. Prior to Nintendo’s Switch presentation on January 13th, it noted that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be releasing in March. Granted, that’s based off of every report under the sun confirming the same but its latest release date leak for Splatoon 2 could still be legitimate.
According to GAME, Splatoon 2 will be out on August 18th for the Switch. The listing hasn’t been changed yet which...17-01-2017, 04:57 PM
Digital Foundry’s analysis of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo’s Switch is available thanks to a recent showing at London and it offers some new information on the open world title’s performance.
Along with improvements from the 2016 build running on Wii U, Breath of the Wild apparently runs at 900p when the console is docked and playing on your TV. Undocked and running on portable mode, the game runs at 720p resolution. Thankfully, the game maintains a solid...16-01-2017, 04:02 PM
A new Metroid? The long-awaited sequel to Mother aka Earthbound finally releasing in the West? There’s nothing to announce currently but Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime is more than aware about “key IP” that fans want to see.
Speaking to GameSpot, Fils-Aime said, “Oh, so earlier today I got asked about Mother 3; maybe you can ask me about Metroid. Look, again, I am proud as an executive with Nintendo to say that we look at all of the boards and all of the comments...16-01-2017, 03:56 PM
You might have missed it during the official presentation for Nintendo Switch but the user interface is quite something. Thanks to the most recent Treehouse Live stream though, some more glimpses of the Switch’s UI were seen. You can see it above (image courtesy of PowerUpGaming).
From the outset, the Switch seems like a decent leap forward from previous systems, presenting a more minimalist presentation that’s sleeker but easier to understand. Icons for the Nintendo Store,...15-01-2017, 08:27 PM

Pokemon For Nintendo Switch Mentioned On Retailer WebsitePokemon for Nintendo Switch is a widely held expectation at this point- when Pokemon Sun/Moon had only just launched for the 3DS, reports of an enhanced version for the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Stars, broke out. Since then, more and more evidence has pointed to Pokemon Stars for Nintendo Switch existing.
Now, there’s more fuel to add to the fire. Leading retailer of video games GameStop has added a product page for the Nintendo Switch, specifically referencing that Pokemon will be ‘playable at home’ via the new system. This seems to all but confirm that a new Pokemon game is coming to the Switch.
Whether or not that game will be announced this Thursday, though, is what remains to be seen. My assumption is that given that Pokemon Sun/Moon just launched, and that Nintendo probably wants to continue selling those games, Pokemon Stars will not be announced just yet- instead, I foresee an announcement for that game in the series’ traditional March-May announcement window. For now, Pokemon fans can play the excellent Pokemon Sun/Moon exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
