  • Splatoon 2 New Trailer Shows Off The Game’s Single Player Mode
    Bald Bouncer
Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct focused mostly on ARMS earlier today, but at the end, they did drop a brand new trailer for the upcoming, highly anticipated Splatoon 2 as well. And while Splatoon 2 may be multiplayer online shooter, it will have a single player story campaign, too. This trailer showed that off.

The gameplay of the single player mode seems to be doubling down on the 3D platforming style of the original game’s campaign, while story wise, it almost seems to be...

  • Zelda, New Pokemon Games in Development For Mobiles – Report
    Bald Bouncer
Following the success of Fire Emblem Heroes (and the so-so revenue from Super Mario Run), it seems that Nintendo will be bringing The Legend of Zelda to mobiles. This is according to sources that spoke to The Wall Street Journal, which also stated that a new Pokemon game was coming from The Pokemon Company.

The Zelda mobile title, in development by DeNA, will apparently arrive after the Animal Crossing mobile title (arriving in the second half of 2017). As of now, there’s no...

  • Nintendo Teases Surprises For E3
    Bald Bouncer
Nintendo has kept its E3 preparations pretty low key, leaving a lot of fans intrigued about what the company may have in store, sure, but even more who are worried about there not being enough coming to the newly launched Switch.

However, it sounds like there may be some notable announcements that we don’t know of yet en route at E3 - on its E3 site, Nintendo says, “Stay tuned after the Nintendo Spotlight, as the experts from Treehouse play through upcoming games for Nintendo...

  • Nintendo Switch System Update 2.20 is Now Available
    Bald Bouncer
The Nintendo Switch has received a new update with update 2.2.0. What did the patch notes, crafted by informative folks at Nintendo, indicate about the update? Only that it brings “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.” We’ll have to wait for player feedback to know the extent of improvements.

The update will download automatically if your Switch goes online though it’s possible to start the update manually as well. Once it’s done, the current...

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass Announced

Nintendo has gone ahead and announced an Expansion Pass for its upcoming, eagerly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Expansion Pass will sell for $20 (£17.99/€19.99), and will include two DLC drops, one in the Summer, and one later in the year.

The first content pack is scheduled to launch this Summer and will include the addition of a Cave of Trials challenge, a new hard mode and a new feature for the in-game map. The second content pack will launch in Holiday 2017, and adds new challenges that will let players enjoy a new dungeon and a new original story. Additionally, those who purchase the Expansion Pack will get three new in game treasure chests, one of which will have a shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo which Link can wear during his adventure, exclusive to the Expansion Pass. The other two chests will have useful items within them.

Notably, these DLC packs cannot be bought individually- you have to purchase the Expansion Pass. So if, like me, you are only interested in the story DLC pack that is due for later in the year, you will still have to purchase the entire Expansion Pass. Which is really annoying.

You can see a video of Nintendo’s Eiji Aonuma explaining the DLC below. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches on Nintendo Switch and Wii U on March 3.
