  • Nintendo Looking Into Selling Classic Games At Retail
    Bald Bouncer
One of Nintendo’s key strengths over any and all other companies in the industry – after probably its first party catalog – is its legacy catalog. Nintendo has such a long and rich history of classic games, games that people have a lot of nostalgia for, games that influenced the entire industry, games that have held up amazingly well, that it is surprising the company has dropped the ball so often on leveraging it properly.

The Virtual Console has been hit or miss (more miss...

  • Super Mario Odyssey Will Have 30-50 Moons Per Level
    Bald Bouncer
Moons in Super Mario Odyssey will be analogous to Shines or Stars from Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario 64. But where Sunshine and 64 usually only had a handful of those per level, Mario Odyssey will apparently go decidedly far crazier with how many Moons it stuffs per level.

Speaking to Kinda Funny Games, a Nintendo rep on the E3 showfloor confirmed that there can be as many as 30-50 moons in a single level of Super Mario Odyssey– maybe even more. This means that levels...

  • The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild Receives Second Review

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s reviews will be coming in later this week, but print media has already started to go and publish its reviews for the title. We already know that EDGE has given the game a historic 10/10 score – and now, the German magazine GamePro has shared its score for the game too. And it is almost unprecedented for them as well.

Breath of the Wild has scored a 94 from GamePro, which is the second highest score they have awarded to any game to date, and the highest score they have awarded so far this generation. Breath of the Wild is rated higher by this magazine than Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Bloodborne, and Grand Theft Auto 5. It is also rated higher than its own predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

So what is this one game that scored higher than a 94? It was Grand Theft Auto 4, back in 2008, that managed to score a 95. That’s it- only that one game ever has scored more than Breath of the Wild. I think that Nintendo may have created something very special here indeed. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild launches later this week on Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
