Nintendo has one more DLC in development for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with The Champions’ Ballad and released a 17 second teaser to showcase it. However, producer Eiji Aonuma has promised more than just playing as Link again.

As per the tweet, “You’ll still play as Link in The Champions’ Ballad, but learn more about #Zelda along the way.” Along with Zelda, we’ll also see the four Champions making an appearance. What exactly the DLC will contain remains...

  • Nintendo Looking Into Selling Classic Games At Retail
    Bald Bouncer
One of Nintendo’s key strengths over any and all other companies in the industry – after probably its first party catalog – is its legacy catalog. Nintendo has such a long and rich history of classic games, games that people have a lot of nostalgia for, games that influenced the entire industry, games that have held up amazingly well, that it is surprising the company has dropped the ball so often on leveraging it properly.

The Virtual Console has been hit or miss (more miss...

  • Super Mario Odyssey Will Have 30-50 Moons Per Level
    Bald Bouncer
Moons in Super Mario Odyssey will be analogous to Shines or Stars from Super Mario Sunshine or Super Mario 64. But where Sunshine and 64 usually only had a handful of those per level, Mario Odyssey will apparently go decidedly far crazier with how many Moons it stuffs per level.

Speaking to Kinda Funny Games, a Nintendo rep on the E3 showfloor confirmed that there can be as many as 30-50 moons in a single level of Super Mario Odyssey– maybe even more. This means that levels...

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s Producer Unbox The Game’s Master Edition

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is probably the most anticipated game of this year- and with less than two weeks left to launch, you can imagine that fans are probably besides themselves with excitement for the new game. And while this new video of Zelda producer unboxing the game’s limited Master Edition may not be much comfort for those of you eagerly awaiting the game to release, it is, I imagine, something- and something is always better than nothing.

  • Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC Pass Clarified by Nintendo

When Nintendo announced that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be receiving a DLC Pass for $20, fans were predictably annoyed. Nintendo’s Bill Trinen took the time to clarify why a DLC Pass is happening though.

Speaking to IGN, Trinen noted that the decision was tough, “Because we actually had a lot of debate in terms of do we announce it, how do we announce it. I think one of the things that’s unique about the way Nintendo develops games is when we’re working...

  • Nintendo Switch Hardware Teardown Reveals Details About The Hardware

It looks like someone has managed to get their hands on a Nintendo Switch ahead of its launch, and tear it down. As a result, we now have information on the internals of the system, revealing a modified custom Tegra X1 variant being used in the system, a gigantic battery, and the system’s entire SoC.

It also seems like the Switch will have active cooling, and a 64-bit memory bus. The long and short of all of this is, the Switch, as a portable system, seems to be rather well endowed,...

  • Ultra Street Fighter 2 Way of the Hado Mode Showcased for Switch

So this is a thing. If you were wondering what Capcom would do to jazz up Ultra Street Fighter 2 on the Nintendo Switch, then you’ll be happy – or horrified – to see the new Way of the Hado mode. During a Capcom Japan livestream (around here), the developer showcased the new mode which can be played with motion controls via the Joy-Cons. This mode allows you to shoot Hadoukens, hit Shoryukens and so on by doing the respective motion for each attack.

The issue is that there appears...

  • I Am Setsuna Gets A New Trailer For Nintendo Switch Launch

I Am Setsuna, the excellent old school JRPG that Square Enix released for PS4 and PC last year, will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch for its launch. Nintendo, who have fostered an audience for JRPGs on their systems over the last few years, thanks to collaborations with Square Enix and Atlus, as well as their own in house efforts such as Fire Emblem and Xenoblade, are definitely interested in pushing this game for all it’s worth.

And this new trailer for the game, which...

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Hands On Preview

You don’t need me to tell you that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is ridiculously hyped. Ever since its unveil at E3 last year, the game has won every major anticipatory award that there is, and is arguably the most hyped game of this year, if not of the entire generation so far. The reason for the hype is evident- Breath of the Wild looks to be the kind of modernization, and the evolution of the series’ original vision hinted at in the older games, but never quite realized, that the...

  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’s Map Over 9 Times Larger Than Skyrim’s Map

Nintendo have made it a point to point out that Breath of the Wild‘s Hyrule will be massive- but just how massive will that be?

Well, Crave Online decided to collate and analyze research into this question done by various outlets, and social...

Splatoon 2 Release Date Listed by UK Retailer GAME

UK retailer GAME has been on somewhat of a streak when it comes to leaks. Prior to Nintendo’s Switch presentation on January 13th, it noted that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be releasing in March. Granted, that’s based off of every report under the sun confirming the same but its latest release date leak for Splatoon 2 could still be legitimate.

  • Nintendo Switch New Video Shows Off How The Console ‘Switches’

The most appealing part of the Nintendo Switch from a hardware perspective is its switching capability- the way it can seamlessly turn from being a home console to a portable to a standalone gaming unit, without having to fiddle with wires or connectors.

We’ve seen the Switching in motion a lot- but we’ve never actually seen it in real time so far. And there’s always some skepticism about whether or not something will actually work in real life as it has been advertised,...
