  • Sony On Not Allowing Cross Platform Play
    Bald Bouncer
Sony’s backwards policies when it comes to cross platform play have been revealed over this week, as first Minecraft, and then Rocket League – and both substantially major games- have been announced to be getting full cross platform play between their PC, Xbox, and Switch versions, but the PS4 being excluded.

This happens because Sony won’t allow for cross platform play whatsoever, despite originally championing it, when it was clear Microsoft would never allow for it. In an...

Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy looks to be a loving remaster of the original trilogy of the PlayStation platformers, modernizing them for a new age of gamers who never played them, and for those who did and yearn to return to the games again. But it looks like developers Vicarious Vision and publisher Activision have managed to pack in some surprises for us still.

  • Shenmue 3 Delayed to Second Half of 2018
    Bald Bouncer
If it weren’t bad enough that Ys Net’s Shenmue 3 would be missing E3 2017, creator Yu Suzuki announced in a new video message that the game has been delayed to the second half of 2018. The long-awaited sequel was originally meant to release by December 2017. At least, that was the delivered date on its Kickstarter campaign.

Suzuki said in the video that, “We unfortunately must delay its release. By utilizing new technologies we have been able to discover new possibilities and...

The game, which was originally announced at Gamescom 2014, has been a very long wait- but at last, players will be able to play it.

  • Analyst Skeptical Of 2018 PS5 Release Claims
    Bald Bouncer
We’ve heard some rumors claim that a PS5 is coming next year- the claim was made by an analyst, the very same who also successfully predicted the PS4 Slim’s debut alongside the PS4 Pro last year, which is why his word has been given any credence. But… doesn’t it make very little sense for Sony to launch a PS5 next year, two years after the PS4 Pro, five years after the PS4, and when the PS4 is doing so well for itself, too?

According to Michael Goodman, who is the director of...

  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake – Nomura Explains How The Cover System Will Work In The Game

Recently, Square Enix released a couple of screenshots for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake, and one of those screenshots depicted Cloud taking cover behind a crate as an enemy fired at him with a gun. In an interview with Famitsu, director Tetsuya Nomura spoke about this and went into detail about the same.

When asked whether the cover mechanic was something that would feature in the combat of the game, Nomura said, “In the story, in situations where you’re sneaking around, you won’t just be able to march down the middle of the path. The original version had random encounters, and such parts were in the realm of imagination, but since this title is seamless and you see the path that you’re infiltrating, I decided it was necessary for the sake of realism.”

“You can use it in ways such as to hide in cover until enemy soldiers move along, or to throw a hand grenade from cover to annihilate the enemy,” he continued. “Of course, those who find it bothersome can just throw themselves into the fight.”

When asked if Barrett could also take cover in the game, Nomura confirmed that that was indeed the case, saying that “there is a special element in gunners”, but refused to give any more details.

Recently, Nomura also talked about how the combat in Final Fantasy VII Remake would be action based rather than command based.
