Wii Softmodding Guide (3.0-4.2)
I have now switched this tutorial to use Multi-Mod Manger. This Application is a combination of several very good homebrew apps, whilst I still prefer to use individual apps, this app will make softmodding alot faster and easier for all users.
Warning
You are going to attempt to enable the Wii to do things it wasn’t designed to do and in doing so there is always a risk that something could go wrong – so please spend some time doing background reading and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Wii consoles purchased towards the end of 2009 and ALL BLACK or RED Wii consoles will not read backup discs, But will play backups from a USB Loader.
To check to see if your Wii has the new D3-2 Drive got to this site and check –
