We can all agree that Sonic Unleashed had some pretty deep lows -- specifically, the Werehog. But the daytime segments in the game showed promise; almost a return to form. These areas of the game, for the unaware, combined Sonic Adventure-like 3D free-running elements alongside more classical, 2D elements from the series' past. It was easily the highlight of that game. And Sega knows it, which explains why Sonic Colors is pretty much nothing but those portions of gameplay. That alone would make for a pretty serviceable Sonic game ...

"A new Goldeneye has arrived," the trailer below matter-of-factly states, "so what are you going to do?" That, Mr. Trailer, is an awfully open-ended question. We imagine we'll stick to our usual routine of waking up at noon, then turning on whatever television station is currently running an America's Next Top Model marathon, but -- oh, we see. That's one of those rhetorical questions. We're supposed to say "multiplayer, of course," and then you show a bunch of clips from Goldeneye 007's multiplayer component ...

David Kassan made something of a name for himself as the guy who is really good at fingerpainting with the iPad Brushes app. Now he's been tapped by THQ to work with something other than his fingers: the uDraw GameTablet for Nintendo's Wii. Announced earlier this week, the $70 tablet pledges to let anyone with an artistic bent get all creative on the little console that rules them all (at least in terms of sales), but can it actually create meaningful art? See for yourself in the video after the break. ...

Art games on consoles tend to be unpopular creations, Mario Paint about the only one to even approach retail success, but maybe all they needed was a proper input method. That's what THQ is hoping, at least, announcing the uDraw GameTablet for the Nintendo Wii. It's a chubby, pencil-like stylus tethered to a tablet that connects wirelessly to the console thanks to the Wiimote that slots right in. The tablet comes with a drawing game called uDraw Studio, while THQ is also working on an artsy platformer called Dood's Big Adventure and a digital version ...

WayForward's upcoming beat-em-up adaptation of the Batman: The Brave and the Bold series will apparently take advantage of a rarely-taken-advantage-of feature of the Wii: It's ability to connect with the DS. According to IGN, a player using Nintendo's dual-screened handheld (equipped with the DS version of Brave and the Bold, natch) can assist players of the Wii version. This assistance comes in the form of Bat-Mite, an impish version of Bruce Wayne's alter ego, pictured below. ...

Alright, gamers -- time to fess up. Even if you're a self-proclaimed new schooler, there's no way you're passing up the option to flash back to yesteryear in order to play GoldenEye 007 the way it was meant to be played. The Wii remake of the game actually doesn't look all that different than the original when it comes to polygon count, but for those who aren't keen on taking control of Pierce Brosnan (let us dream, okay?) with a Wiimote, there's the gilded Classic Controller Pro. The limited run controller itself is a familiar beast, but rather than being coated ...

Nintendo's US boss Reggie Fils-Aime has claimed that adults spend more time playing Wii than they do on Xbox 360 and PS3. What's more, he reckons he's got the figures to prove it. According to a survey conducted by independent market research company Ipsos, 51% of adults questioned said they played their Wii for at least one to two hours per week. Meanwhile only 26% of Xbox 360 owners said ...

At E3 this year we were absolutely sure that Nintendo would finally release the details of its finger-trapping peripheral, the Vitality Sensor. The company revealed the thing the year prior and, well, it sure seemed like time to make it official. But, that didn't happen, and Nintendo's Cammie Dunaway (star of the 2009 Vitality Sensor reveal) told Game Set Watch why: ...
